Job Description:

AMP is looking for an Electronics Manufacturing Intern to join their manufacturing team in Linthicum, MD. As an intern, you will be providing hands-on electrical manufacturing support and working on diverse projects. This is a hands-on opportunity for students.

Essential Duties:

• Assist with the assembly and testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic systems.
• Support daily manufacturing operations by working with engineering and production teams.
• Help develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting on electronic assemblies and components.
• Maintain accurate documentation for production activities, test results, and quality checks.
• Support inventory management of components and materials used in production.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing or 5S practices.
• Follow instructions, accept responsibility, keep commitments, and complete tasks on time.
• Exhibit teamwork, give and welcome feedback, and contribute to a positive team spirit.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
