Job Description (Detailed)
This is a Temporary IT Intern position at Kaleida Health, focused on supporting the Epic (EMR) implementation.
• Location: The job is based at the Larkin Bldg @ Exchange Street in Buffalo, NY. The work arrangement is Onsite.
• Work Type: This is a Temporary position, classified as Shift 1.
• Main Responsibilities: As an IT Intern, you will work closely with the IT implementation team to provide support for the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system implementation. This role is designed to offer hands-on experience in the healthcare IT field.
• Education and Credentials:
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Candidates must be current college students actively pursuing a degree in a relevant field, such as Health Informatics, Information Technology (IT), or other related disciplines.
• Experience:
• Applicants must possess a working knowledge of computer skills, including proficiency with common software tools and platforms.
• The ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision is required.
• Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, including strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Working Conditions and Job Details:
• Department: KH Information Technology Applications.
• Standard Hours Bi-Weekly: 75.00 hours.
• Scheduled Work Hours: Typically 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Yes, weekend and holiday work may be required.
• On Call Required: No, on-call duty is not required.
• With Rotation: No specified rotation.

• Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly.
• Salary Range: The hourly pay ranges from $15.00 to $20.63. The exact wage will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
