Job Description:

This is a paid internship at KQED, working 16 hours per week from July through December 19th, 2025. The current salary is $19.19 per hour. The internship is a hybrid format, working in KQED’s San Francisco headquarters an average of one day per week and remotely on the remaining days.

The Development Analytics Intern supports the Development Department by providing high-level analysis of donors and prospects from both within and outside of KQED. The position reports to the Senior Development Operations Analyst.

Responsibilities May Include:

Data Analytics:

• Utilizing tools like ROI database (KQED’s CRM), Google, LinkedIn, Wealth Engine and Wealth X to conduct research on donors and prospects.
• Analyzing fundraising data to identify trends and opportunities for growth in fundraising and donor engagement.
• Preparing data visualizations and insights for Development staff and Executive Management to inform fundraising strategies.
• Creating and refining research report templates and data visualizations.
• Working with the operations team to maintain data integrity and identify opportunities for optimization.

Prospect Research:

• Analyzing and evaluating personal, business, and financial information for current and prospective donors.
• Preparing donor profiles and strategic briefings for Development staff and Executive Management in advance of meetings, calls and events.
• Performing other department tasks, as needed.

Position Qualifications:

• Interest in nonprofit fundraising, data analysis, and prospect research.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data from various sources.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Comfort working in databases and online platforms (LinkedIn, Google, etc.).
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
