Job Description:

This is a Tax Winter 2026 Internship opportunity in the Woodland Hills, CA office, running from January to April 2026. As a Tax Winter Intern, you will familiarize yourself with current tax theories and laws, performing procedures in accordance with firm standards.

Key aspects of the role:

Engagement Team: Work closely with Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
Industries: Serve a variety of clients across industries, including Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (varies by office).
Office Environment: Work from the CohnReznick office with amenities and collaborative spaces.
Performance Coaching: Receive guidance from a Performance Coach who will help you establish goals and provide feedback.
CR Friend: Have a go-to person to help you acclimate to the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare various client deliverables, including individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
• Identify potential tax issues.
• Prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances.
• Assist the team with daily client workflow.

Experience:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Plan to complete 150 credit hours between May 2026 – September 2027 in order to be CPA licensed.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in major and overall.
• Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Leadership positions in student organizations or on team projects.
• Prior work or internship experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer literacy and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

Salary:
The salary for a tax intern in California is $34 per hour.
