Job Description:

Kokosing is offering a paid Internship Program designed to provide practical construction experience to supplement education. Interns will gain hands-on project involvement and expand their knowledge of the construction industry.

Available Specializations/Divisions:

• Carpentry – Working in the form shop to help create concrete forms and other items used on construction projects.
• Welding – Repairing heavy equipment and fabricating pieces used in heavy highway bridge and structural construction.
• Auto/Equipment Mechanics – Maintaining and repairing company vehicles and specialized construction equipment.
• Mid-sized equipment/Electrical – Repainting small construction equipment i.e., generators, pumps, etc.
• Supply Department – Providing tools, supplies, and other resources to field operations.
• Yard – Pulling, organizing, and filling orders to be shipped to projects.

Intern Responsibilities:

Interns will work alongside full-time employees, receiving guidance and training on various tasks and will have specific project responsibilities assigned. Daily activities will enable interns to experience applicable processes and management methods firsthand. Supervisors and project staff will structure work efforts to facilitate learning and direct contribution to project completion. Assignments are expected to be in a variety of situations that allow for technical development, practical background broadening, and exploration of interests.
