Job Description:

This is an internship/trainee position within PwC’s Tax team, focusing on Industry Tax Practice. As an Intern/Trainee, you will support teams and participate in projects, gaining exposure to PwC’s practices. You will perform basic tasks, conduct research, and observe professional work environments to develop your skills and personal brand.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD)
• Required cumulative GPA: 3.0

• Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.

Areas of Opportunity (JD and LLM):

ITS (International Tax): Advising clients on structuring their global tax positions, analyzing international tax laws and regulations to develop strategies that optimize tax efficiency and minimize risks for multinational businesses.
M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions Tax): Providing tax advice and guidance during mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. Analyzing the tax implications of such transactions, developing tax structures, and assisting clients in navigating complex tax regulations to optimize tax outcomes.
Real Estate: Advising clients on tax implications related to real estate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures. Analyzing partnership and corporate tax, REIT taxation, international tax considerations, and state and local tax regulations to help clients optimize their tax positions and navigate complex real estate structures.
SALT (State and Local Tax): Providing advice and guidance to clients on state and local tax matters. Analyzing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations, assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements and optimizing their local tax positions.
