Bolt Home Services is consolidating the fragmented $650 billion home services industry through strategic acquisitions, operational integration, and cutting-edge technology. Their aim is to build a one-stop-shop platform company with a 10-figure or more strategic sale or exit in mind. The company is run by professionals with $50B+ in combined M&A experience.
The Technical Mentee – Entrepreneurial Software Operator position is not a typical internship; it offers hands-on experience working directly with the Founder. You’ll be involved in real-world software development tasks related to M&A, growth, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Scraping online directories for acquisition targets and normalizing the data.
• Building internal dashboards and automations for deal pipelines and operations.
• Validating and analyzing large, messy datasets related to leads and market segments.
• Automating email and outbound systems.
• Researching APIs and coding microtools to integrate into workflows.
• Identifying and implementing technical solutions to improve speed and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualities:
• Strong coding skills: Python preferred; JS, SQL, etc. are also welcome.
• Ability to build scrapers, small tools, dashboards, and data pipelines.
• Self-directed, curious, and capable of turning ideas into functioning systems.
• Prioritization: Understanding that “80% done fast” is preferable to “100% done slow.”
• Exceptional communication skills (timely, clear, direct).
• Entrepreneurial mindset with rapid learning capabilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Self-learner.
Bonus skills/experience:
• Experience with M&A, private equity, real estate, finance, or startups.

• Hours: 10-30 hours per week.
