Junior SharePoint & Power Apps Developer | Matrix Design Group, Inc.
The Tone:
This is an initially part-time role, with the potential to transition into a full-time position, available at Matrix Design Group, Inc. in Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Denver, or San Antonio. Matrix is an award-winning, employee-owned engineering, planning, and consulting firm committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain real-world experience by maintaining and enhancing the organization’s SharePoint environment, developing Power Apps solutions and automation, and supporting underlying data infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with project teams, business operations staff, and clients to translate operational needs into practical technology solutions.

• Mission: To support the SharePoint Online environment, develop Power Apps solutions, automate workflows, and maintain data infrastructure for internal tools and workflows.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Support the design, development, and maintenance of Power Apps canvas applications.
• Automate: Build and manage Power Automate workflows that integrate with SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services.
• Administer: Assist with administration of SharePoint Online, including site creation, libraries, lists, pages, and permissions.
• Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing Power Apps and SharePoint solutions reported by end users.
• Document: Perform testing, quality assurance, and documentation for new and updated applications.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-career professional or recent graduate with foundational knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Online (site creation, lists, libraries, permissions) and an understanding of relational database concepts.
• Experience: Basic experience building or customizing Power Apps canvas apps. Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation and the ability to write and interpret basic Power Fx formulas.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Clear written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working with non-technical users, and a collaborative mindset for effective teamwork.
• Bonus: Experience with Power BI, experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and familiarity with Visual Studio Code or similar development environments.
