Job Description:

The University of Utah is seeking Quest Interns to support the Quest Academic Learning Community for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Quest program provides first-time students with small-sized academic seminars that meet general education and baccalaureate requirements, along with social and academic events, community service projects, and on-campus study spaces.

Key Details:

Job Title: Quest Intern
Department: LEAP & Early College
Location: University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT (Campus)
Dates: August 2025 to May 2026 (with academic breaks)
Hours: Part-time, 10 hours per week (Flexible based on class schedule, one evening per week required Mon-Thurs)
Pay: $18/hour – $20/hour
Internship Areas:
• Social Media and Communications
• Event Planning and Management
• Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

Quest Interns will be assigned to one of the three internship areas, focusing on:

• Planning, organizing, and executing Quest program events (social, service, academic).
• Designing and implementing Quest’s social media calendar.
• Creating media to promote Quest initiatives and engage the community.
• Assisting with data analysis for the Quest program.
• Supporting students, faculty, and partners within the Quest program.
• Hosting/peer mentoring (3 hours per week).
• Meeting with Undergraduate Studies partners and other interns (2 hours per week).
• Working on assigned internship tasks (5 hours per week).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current University of Utah student.
• Proven ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work successfully under pressure.
• Thoroughness and accuracy in completing tasks.

Preferences:

• Previous experience in your desired internship area.
