Job Description: Internship
Primary Purpose:
To experience Mountaire’s culture first-hand and provide additional exposure of Mountaire’s family-oriented work environment. Fulfill all designated duties within each specialized area of operation for the duration of the internship. This program is intended to provide learning opportunities by working hands-on with mentors and completing assigned projects. This includes assisting in plant layout drawings and aiding in the design of upcoming projects. The intern will communicate with end users in the plant, engineering, safety, and outside vendors to complete studies and potentially implement projects.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Completes assigned tasks identified by department mentor.
• Attends semi-monthly seminar series.
• Completes and presents a summer project presentation.
• Completes internship evaluations at weeks 5 and 10.
• Follows all company safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supports the Goal Zero mission statement.
• AutoCAD Design:
• Creates designs using AutoCAD software.
• Presents ideas and improves designs based on feedback.
• Develops design projects and provides cost justifications and payback analyses.
Qualifications:
• Must be currently enrolled and pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Must pass the Mountaire Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
• Engineering Major
• AutoCAD experience required
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Self-Motivated.
