Job Description

This position involves working with pigments and concentrates used in the packaging manufacturing process. The role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The individual will be responsible for:

• Checking with Quality Assurance for off colors every day.
• Approving batches of pigment for special projects by running color chips on each batch.
• Checking pigments and Concentrates.
• Performing any additional tasks assigned by the Group Leader or Assistant Lead persons.

Shift:

This is a 2nd shift position with some 3rd shift weekends required. Must be able to work both.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma / GED equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a dusty environment.
• Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read Point font at a distance of 12-18 inches.
• Color vision within normal limits (according to Ishihara Screen).
• Able to occasionally climb ladders safely and without assistance. Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.
• Ability to work at heights (with or without fall protection).
• Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and/or paging system to contact other co-workers in other areas of the complex.
• Able to work in extremes of heat/cold.
• Able to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building.
