Job Description:

This is a 6-month internship within Cisco’s Legal Sales Department in EMEA, based in Milan, Florence, or Rome, with the possibility of a 6-month extension. The internship starts in July 2025.

As an intern, you will work closely with the legal and business teams and be actively involved in:

• Supporting the drafting and negotiation of commercial/technology agreements for local and international business customers.
• Taking part in cross-functional and legal innovation projects.
• Receiving training and learning from subject matter experts on various legal topics, including IT, IP, competition, and privacy.
• Analyzing a range of legal issues, including conducting research, to answer queries from internal stakeholders or Cisco’s customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Fluent in Italian and English. Knowledge of German is a significant advantage.
• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Italy and eligible for an Internship Agreement with your University.
• Strong interest in IP, Privacy, Security, and IT fields of law.
• Ability to read and understand complex contract provisions.
• Ability to efficiently create English legal documents for internal and external use.
• Ability to understand industry practice on legal issues.
• Previous legal working experience is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to concisely convey information and ideas both in writing and verbally.
• Ability to operate well in a professional legal team environment.
• Ability to anticipate and be responsive to Cisco’s attorneys’ requirements.
• Ability to operate efficiently in a highly automated environment dependent on e-enabled tools and communications systems.
• Excellent relationship and communication skills, adaptable, and a fast learner.
• Strong motivation to work in a fast-paced environment.
