Job Description: Marketing Intern (Summer 2025)
This is a part-time, paid internship (no more than 40 hours per week) offering real-world experience in the live entertainment industry. The internship program aims to provide broad experience across various aspects of the business, allowing interns to apply academic learning to real-world situations and develop leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting the marketing department with administrative duties and campaign organization.
• Compiling and maintaining distribution lists for promotional materials.
• Researching target markets for concerts and identifying key audience demographics.
• Researching digital avenues in various markets.
• Maintaining a contact list for local media.
• Researching and contacting influencers for marketing campaigns; assisting with managing partnerships.
• Setting up promotions with approved influencers and tracking success.
• Assisting with social media and SMS content planning (content creation, scheduling, engagement strategies).
• Assisting with updating in-venue signage.
• Researching new local partnerships to amplify the local network of businesses, vendors, community organizations, and influencers.
• Assisting with capturing day-of-show content.
• Creating show recaps using video editing software (CapCut or similar).
• Researching social trends and proposing new marketing ideas.
• Engaging in grassroots marketing efforts (street team coordination, on-site promotions).
• Monitoring and analyzing marketing performance metrics to optimize campaigns.
• Completing a final internship project (assigned at the beginning, presented at the end).
Learning Objectives:
• Understanding the process of marketing concerts.
• Learning how to research target demographics.
• Learning how to build and maintain relationships with outside organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Recent graduate or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (preferably in a related field).
• Previous experience (school, internship, or professional) is preferred.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Teamwork skills and ability to execute programs.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring walking, climbing stairs, lifting/carrying 50+ lbs, and occasional sitting.
