Job Description: Marketing/Communications Internship

This internship offers a 15-19 hour per week opportunity to learn about Boise Cascade’s operations and contribute to various marketing initiatives. The role is based in the company’s Boise headquarters and involves working in an office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Learning and Development: Gaining knowledge of Boise Cascade’s policies, processes, products, and services. Acquiring industry knowledge and applying academic skills to assigned tasks.
• Content Creation: Contributing to content for multiple digital platforms, including social media, email marketing platforms, and learning management systems (LMS). Strong attention to detail is crucial.
• Digital Marketing: Utilizing best practices in digital advertising and email marketing, performing data analysis for B2B efforts, reviewing campaign results, and providing optimization recommendations. Experience with Constant Contact and/or ActiveCampaign is a plus.
• Project Coordination: Supporting and providing data entry for the launch of a new digital asset management (DAM) tool. Experience working across multiple teams and organizing large amounts of metadata is beneficial.
• Time Management & Technical Proficiency: Demonstrating strong time management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
• Sales Support: Assisting the sales team with event/tradeshow needs, including fulfilling literature and promotional item orders and coordinating with internal and external vendors. Strong organizational skills are desirable.
• General: Demonstrating a commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Performing other duties as assigned. Receiving close supervision with regular progress checks.

Qualifications:

• Basic Qualifications: Currently pursuing a college degree in Marketing or Communications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities. Experience in the building materials industry is a plus.
