Job Description: Engineering Summer Internship Program (Summer 2025)

Johnson & Johnson offers an 8-week summer internship program for rising first-year college students who participated in the FIRST Robotics program and are pursuing STEM degrees. The program is designed specifically for students with limited corporate experience, providing hands-on experience, coaching, mentoring, networking opportunities, and a structured educational experience to ensure success.

Internship Highlights:

Real-world experience: Students will work on projects that improve their leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
Cross-functional teamwork: Collaboration with colleagues across Innovative Medicine, MedTech, and Corporate/Enterprise sectors.
Skill development: The program fosters an interactive environment to develop capabilities and build a strong career foundation.
Program Dates: June 2025 – August 2025 (flexible dates possible).
Locations: Raritan, NJ; Raynham, MA; Cincinnati, OH; Santa Clara, CA; and Jacksonville, FL.
On-site requirement: At least 3 days per week on-site presence is required (commutable distance necessary); some roles may offer housing stipends. Transportation is the intern’s responsibility.
Full-time commitment: 40 hours per week are required. The position is overtime-eligible.

Qualifications:

Strong preference for FIRST Robotics Program participation.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Full-time availability (40 hours/week) for the 8-week program.
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university Bachelor’s degree program (STEM focus).
• High school completion prior to the internship start date (entering freshman year).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Commutable distance (≤50 miles) from one of the internship sites.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive results.
• Problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated approach.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to team goals.
• Intention to pursue an engineering degree (preferred).
• Leadership/participation in campus programs or community service (desired).

Application Process:

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis at the site level. The anticipated closing date is 4/8/2025. Pay rate ranges from $19.00 to $51.50 per hour, depending on factors such as program year, discipline, degree, and experience. The position is overtime eligible.
