Job Description: Grain Intern (St. Hilaire, MN – Spring 2025)
This internship offers a hands-on learning experience within CHS’s grain operations. Interns will work closely with customers, providing high-level service and information.
Responsibilities:
• Agronomy Knowledge Acquisition: Gain practical experience in agronomy, including scouting, crop protection and nutrient products, seed handling, custom application procedures, mixing processes, and product delivery (including truck driving).
• Grain Operations: Perform all aspects of grain handling operations.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain the quality of grain inventory.
• Facility Maintenance: Manage and perform regular cleaning processes, record-keeping, and assist with repairs and preventative maintenance of agronomy equipment (legs, conveyors, towers, vehicles, sprayers, floaters, trucks, etc.).
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and support to clients as needed.
• Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment that adheres to state, local, and CHS Environmental and Safety policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or other agriculture-related degree program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
