Job Description: Summer 2025 Internship

Freese and Nichols is recruiting interns for Summer 2025. Interns will work under professional engineers on projects impacting local and wider communities. While specializing in one engineering discipline, interns will gain exposure to other technical practice areas. The internship aims to provide both practical experience and networking opportunities.

Role specifics:

Daily in-office work: This is required to foster connections with colleagues and other interns.
No relocation or housing stipends provided.
Project work: Interns will perform specific tasks within larger assignments, applying standard practices and techniques, assisting project managers, collecting and analyzing data, performing calculations, and identifying discrepancies.

Locations: Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Rogers, AR; Overland Park, KS

Required Majors:

• Civil/Environmental/Water Resource Engineering
• Biological and Agricultural/Biosystems Engineering
• Structural/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering (Water Transmission & Utilities only)

Qualifications:

• Current student pursuing a BS or MS degree in one of the listed majors.
• Graduation date of August 2025 or later.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Excel, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, AutoCAD, or GIS.
• Student organizational involvement.
