Job Description: 2025 Summer Internship (Procurement Focus)

PulteGroup offers various operational internships, including a procurement-focused role. These internships provide a holistic understanding of the homebuilding industry through rotational shadowing across different functions and departments. Interns will gain hands-on experience working on meaningful projects alongside experienced professionals within their designated function (in this case, procurement).

Primary Responsibilities (Procurement):

• Work collaboratively with various roles and departments, fostering connections and breaking down silos.
• Collaborate with vendors, understanding their vital role in PulteGroup’s operations.
• Learn about bid submittals, negotiation, and cost-saving strategies through observation and participation.

General Internship Details:

Duration: May 19, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (12 weeks), with potential adjustments based on individual needs.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, dependent on the specific internship position and requirements.
Location: Primarily in-person at one of 29 Division Offices or up-and-coming development communities across various states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas).
Compensation: $20/hour (pay may vary based on position and location).
Benefits: Temporary employees are eligible for the company’s 401(k) plan.
Training: Centralized training and development opportunities are provided throughout the summer.
Capstone Project: Internship concludes with a capstone presentation to local Division leadership.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Undergraduate or graduate student status (minimum sophomore status preferred) or recent graduate (graduated in the semester prior to the internship).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 preferred.
Skills:** Curious, coachable, personable, patient, action-oriented, accountable, motivated, enthusiastic, strong verbal and written communication skills, tech-savvy (Excel and Microsoft Teams), strong organizational skills, self-motivation, learning agility, bias for action, and a strong interest in the homebuilding, real estate, or construction industry. Extracurricular involvement is a plus.
