Job Description: Finance Systems Intern

Amkor Technology is seeking a Finance Systems Intern to join its corporate office in Tempe, AZ. This internship is designed for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree and offers a hybrid work schedule. The intern will contribute to the Finance Systems team, actively involved in Amkor’s finance transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Automation: The intern will support the automation of finance processes by designing, testing, implementing, and monitoring automated workflows using specialized automation software. This includes identifying processes suitable for automation and optimizing them for efficiency.
Business Process Improvement: The role involves assisting in the identification and optimization of business processes to leverage automation benefits.
Project Support: The intern will contribute to various projects and ad-hoc requests as needed, including documentation and administrative tasks. Participation in project meetings and regular updates to the team are also expected.
Presentation of Findings: At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will present a summary of their projects and recommendations.

Qualifications:

Education: Currently enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in STEM, business, finance, or supply chain management. Must have completed at least the junior year before the internship starts and maintain active enrollment throughout (fall and spring semesters).
GPA: Minimum 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, high aptitude for learning, attention to detail, self-motivation, ability to manage multiple tasks, strong relationship-building skills, and a results-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), familiarity with the semiconductor packaging industry, programming experience (Python, R, or other languages), and experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) systems.

Location & Schedule:

The position is located at Amkor’s Tempe, AZ headquarters and offers a hybrid work schedule. Candidates must reside near the office; housing is not provided. The internship is part-time during the fall and spring semesters and full-time during school breaks.
