Job Description: Design Internships (Summer 2025, Los Angeles)

WBD offers multiple Design internship opportunities in Los Angeles for Summer 2025. Applicants will be considered for all available design internships within this area. Interns will be expected to work regularly in the office, based on their manager’s schedule. The internship program is 11 weeks long, with two potential start dates: June 2nd or June 9th. Interns will work 35-40 hours per week and receive a competitive hourly wage ($19/hour for undergraduate interns, $25/hour for graduate interns). College credit is not required, but documentation can be provided if needed. Relocation is not offered.

Specific Responsibilities (may vary depending on the specific internship):

Design Creation & Support: Assist in creating diverse visual content for print and digital media (posters, banners, logos, comps, line looks, monthly thematics, YouTube channel logos, static end cards, social media profile photos, etc.) without using AI software.
Branding: Maintain and evolve visual identities for titles and line looks, ensuring consistency across all materials.
Creative Collaborations: Brainstorm and execute design ideas with the team for campaigns and promotions.
Asset Management: Organize and prepare design files for production and delivery, optimizing assets for various formats and platforms. Assist with general administrative tasks (file management, project tracking, design archives).
Research & Trend Analysis: Stay updated on design trends, tools, and industry developments.
Working with Brand Assurance Reps: Understand their submission processes and manage submissions from concept to final product.
Pre-production Sample Review: Review physical pre-production samples with Product Designers to ensure alignment with standards.
Licensing Meetings: Attend meetings with licensees.
Team Meetings: Attend weekly staff, franchise, legal, and creative meetings.

Qualifications:

Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university (proof required).
Rising Junior or Senior undergraduate student (18 years or older).
Academic good standing (3.0 GPA or above; transcript required if offered position).
Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Currently pursuing a degree (or recent graduate) in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, or a related field.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects). Advanced Photoshop skills (retouching).
Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, attention to detail, and understanding of visual design principles.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Passion for entertainment and pop culture.
Attendance at weekly creative meetings.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Outlook, Zoom, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Proficient typing skills.
Excellent command of the English language.
Ability to accurately record feedback in a database.

Preferred (but not required):

• Knowledge of web and social media design principles and experience with web-based tools (Figma, Sketch).
• Experience with motion graphics and video editing software.
• Understanding of Adobe creative programs.
• Basic understanding of copyright and trademarks.

Additional Information:

• The internship program is a paid opportunity.
