About the Company:
Fresh Films offers a paid accelerated film training program designed to jumpstart careers in the film and TV industry. They partner with industry giants such as Sony, Roku, and Fremantle, providing hands-on training and opportunities to build skills for rapidly growing jobs. Fresh Films is working with MRA, a non-profit employer association serving over 4,000 employers and over one million employees, to find talent for their program. MRA acts as a direct line to Fresh Films, not as an agency recruiter.
Job Description (Paid Filmmaking Internship):
This is a paid, competitive training program with limited spots, focused on providing hands-on experience and industry connections. The program combines practical production training with guest speaker sessions and workforce skills workshops to prepare participants for employment in the film and television industry.
Key aspects of the internship include:
• Hands-on Production: Participants will produce three projects to build their portfolio.
• Industry Expertise: Training will be provided by IATSE film professionals.
• On-Set Experience: Opportunity to work on a TV or film production and gain an IMDb credit.
• Networking: Access to industry connections through studio tours and speaker sessions.
• Career Development: Resume and interview skills will be sharpened to help secure internships and jobs.
• Financial Stipend: A $500 stipend will be awarded upon successful completion of the program.
Program Details:
• Dates: Tuesday & Thursday in-person sessions from February 4th to May 20th. Wednesday virtual speaker and resume sessions from February 5th to June 4th (7-9 pm ET). Additional dates for studio tours and events with the Gwinnett Film Office will be announced.
• Location: Georgia Gwinnett College (Gwinnett County, GA).
• Eligibility: Must be a Gwinnett County resident, aged 18-25, and have graduated college (currently in college or workforce acceptable). Prior filmmaking experience is not required, but a passion for film and commitment to the full program duration (February to June) are essential.
