Job Description

The Armani Group is a leading global fashion and luxury goods group with 10,500 direct employees, 12 production plants, and over 2,704 boutiques in 60 countries. It designs, manufactures, distributes, and retails a wide range of fashion and lifestyle products under the brand names Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, and Armani Exchange. These products include apparel, accessories, eyewear, watches, jewelry, home interiors, fragrances, and cosmetics.

The Giorgio Armani Internship Network Program (Spring 2025) is an unpaid internship running from January 27, 2025, to April 25, 2025, at the Giorgio Armani corporate office in NYC. The program aims to provide students with hands-on experience and immerse them in the Armani brand and culture. Interns will learn the foundations of the brand and work in an inclusive environment.

The internship focuses on Human Resources (HR) and will cover the following areas:

Introduction to HR in Different Industries: A brief overview of the retail, corporate, and hospitality sectors, highlighting unique challenges and opportunities within each.

Onboarding and Orientation: Understanding the importance of a smooth onboarding process, company policies, culture, and expectations.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Learning about candidate sourcing, interviewing, making job offers, and strategies for attracting diverse talent across industries.

Employee Training and Development: Exploring training methods for both soft skills (communication, customer service) and technical skills (point-of-sale systems, inventory management), and the role of continuous learning.

Performance Management and Appraisals: Learning how to set performance goals, provide constructive feedback, and understanding the appraisal process and its impact on employee motivation.

Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution: Exploring best practices for handling employee grievances and conflicts and maintaining positive employee relations.

Legal Compliance and Labor Regulations: Familiarizing with employment laws specific to retail, corporate, and hospitality, and understanding the importance of compliance in HR processes.

Health and Safety Policies: Exploring workplace safety guidelines, emergency procedures, and the role of HR in ensuring employee well-being.

Employee Engagement and Retention: Learning strategies to keep employees motivated and satisfied, and understanding the impact of employee engagement on organizational success.

Compensation and Benefits: Learning about salary structures, bonuses, and benefits packages, and how compensation varies across industries.

Requirements: Interns must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, provide proof of school credit, and be available for a minimum of three days per week in the office. Previous work experience or internships in a related field are a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
