About Helaina:
Helaina is a VC-backed biotech startup creating a new category of functional food products. Their vision is to bring the functional properties of human proteins (specifically, human milk proteins) into food, thus defining a new segment in consumer nutrition focused on immunity support. Job Description:
This is a part-time operational support role based in NYC, ideal for a Masters or MBA student (or someone with an equivalent degree). The successful candidate will be a hands-on, self-starter who can independently manage multiple projects. Responsibilities include:
• Market Research & Analysis: Conducting market research to inform product and business expansion strategies.
• Content Development: Creating materials for due diligence, presentations (board decks, partnership presentations, investor presentations), and financial models.
• Sales Support: Providing operational assistance with sales planning and execution.
• Ad Hoc Operations: Handling various operational requests, such as procurement and event management.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Currently enrolled in a Masters or MBA program (or equivalent).
• Proactive and independent work style.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking, research, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Comfort working remotely and in a rapidly evolving organization.
• Passion for Helaina’s mission and philosophy.
• Startup experience or demonstrated interest.
• Experience in the food sector or foodtech (preferred).
• Experience with Agile, Monday.com, Miro, and/or Google Drive (a plus).
Compensation: $25/hour.
