Job Description: Embark Scholar Intern – Technology

KPMG’s Embark Scholars Program offers a technology internship designed to provide students with practical experience in professional services. The internship involves a rotation through KPMG’s audit, tax, and advisory services to gain a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s operations and career possibilities.

Responsibilities:

Rotational Experience: The intern will rotate through different business units (audit, tax, and advisory) to experience the full breadth of services offered.
Diverse Assignments: The role includes a range of tasks across various practices, encompassing the use of audit methodology, data and analytics (D&A), and tax and advisory-related work. This includes data extraction, analysis, and creating work paper files.
Team Collaboration: The intern will work as part of engagement teams, supporting the creation of client reports and deliverables, and contributing to business development activities.
Analytical Skills Application: The intern will assist in scoping engagement capabilities, reviewing client materials, providing insights, and suggesting how analysis can be utilized for effective execution.
Technology Utilization: The position requires leveraging a variety of technologies and analytics tools.
Financial Information Integrity: The intern will contribute to ensuring the integrity and transparency of financial information.

Qualifications:

Enrolment: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or community college pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field. At least one semester of coursework must be completed at the time of application, with at least three additional semesters remaining upon completion of the internship.
GPA: A preferred GPA of 3.00 or above.

Skills: Excellent communication, task management, time management, and leadership skills are essential. The ideal candidate is a flexible and adaptable team player, resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
Location & Transportation: Must reside within commuting distance of the office and have access to personal transportation (vehicle or public transport). Work may involve travel to client sites, potentially requiring overnight stays.
Age & Authorization: Must be 18 years or older by June 1, 2025, and authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. KPMG does not sponsor visas for this position.
