Job Description: Finance Intern
Position Summary:
The Finance Intern will support the objectives of the Enterprise Finance and Business teams. This position will work with a team of financial analysts in Northeast Minneapolis, providing financial support for Bio-Techne. The intern will be involved in core financial planning & analysis (FP&A) activities, including:
• Daily sales analysis
• Annual budgeting
• Monthly expense variance analysis
• Quarterly business presentations
• Process management
The Intern will also enhance their information system knowledge by developing, validating, and executing reporting related projects such as:
• New report development
• System enhancements/fixes
• Template creation
• Data management
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the Enterprise Finance and Business teams.
• Participate in core FP&A activities.
• Develop, validate, and execute reporting related projects.
• Analyze results and understand the key drivers of the business.
Qualifications:
• Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the internship (e.g., Business, Finance, Accounting).
• Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college.
• Must be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during summer months.
• Basic understanding and experience with Excel.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft AX, JET, HFM, OneStream, and Power BI preferred but not required.
