Job Description: Network Performance Intern
This is a 10-week hybrid internship opportunity running from June 2, 2025 to August 8, 2025, where you will work full-time and have a defined work location that includes both work from home and assigned office days.
Key responsibilities:
• Participate in meaningful work and projects that deliver tangible business impact.
• Gain hands-on experience in areas like:
• 5G Technology
• Network Performance Optimization and Management
• Radio Frequency Design
• NFV (Network Functions Virtualization)
• Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Business Analytics
• Programming: Java, Python, Wireshark, Splunk
• Data Warehousing: SQL & database query tools
• Grafana (Prometheus) & GitHub Network
• Network with V Teamers across the globe, find mentors, and establish meaningful friendships.
Qualifications:
• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related majors with a completion date between December 2026 and June 2028.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Coursework or demonstrated experience in waveforms and radio frequency spectrum.
• Willingness to travel and work in an assigned Verizon office.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated strong written and communication skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
• Knowledge of filters and signal modulation.
• Knowledge of WIFI, wireless, or modern communication networks.
• Understanding of radio signal propagation (Industry Ex: Planet EV, Atoll).
• Knowledge of electromagnetics and optics.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Compensation range: $23/hour – $31/hour (varies based on role and class year)
• 401(k) Savings Plan with a dollar-for-dollar company match on the first 6% of your contributions.
• Holiday pay.

• Hybrid role with a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month.
