Internship Description

Start Something Beautiful with an internship at Mary Kay! The Mary Kay Internship Program provides undergraduate and graduate students with a hands-on and learning-intensive experience, allowing them to gain valuable work experience at the #1 Direct Selling brand of Skin Care and Color Cosmetics in the World.

The Program:

• Offers a 10-week internship, running from early June to mid-August.
• Provides a paid internship with a starting hourly rate of $20/hour.
• Requires a 40-hour workweek, Monday-Friday, with a requirement to be in the office 4-5 days per week.
• Is located at either the Global Headquarters in Addison, TX or the Manufacturing/R&D Facility in Lewisville, TX.
• Provides interns with necessary equipment, including a laptop.

The Opportunity:

Mary Kay’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lewisville, TX produces skincare and cosmetics in a high-volume environment, emphasizing uncompromising quality, operational efficiency, and responsiveness to customer needs.

Internship Focus:

• Interns will work with teams in areas such as:
Quality Engineering
Corporate Engineering
Continuous Improvement
Process Engineering
Process Operations
Package Operation

Ideal Candidate:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Has basic project management skills.
• Has a basic understanding of experimental design.
• Has a basic understanding of working in a laboratory environment.
• Shows a strong inclination for new technology and working with abstract ideas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree.
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student (undergraduate) or part-time student (graduate) at the time of application, as defined by your university.
• Must have reached Sophomore status. Rising juniors or seniors are preferred.
• Preferred degrees: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
