Technology Assurance Audit Intern

KPMG is looking for a Technology Assurance Audit Intern to join their Audit Services team.

Responsibilities:

Learn and document client processes and IT systems: Gain an understanding of clients’ processes and information technology systems and prepare clear and well-structured documentation.
Execute and document IT control testing: Under guidance, perform testing of clients’ IT controls using relevant standards and terminology.
Support data and analytics (D&A): Contribute to the use of D&A in audits, including data extraction and analysis.
Utilize technology and tools: Employ a range of technologies and data analysis tools (like AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL, Python, Power BI) to execute substantive IT Audit procedures.
Identify and communicate findings: Recognize and communicate audit findings and recommendations to the engagement team.
Utilize technology and innovation: Leverage technology, systems, tools, and innovations to support engagement activities.
Learn new technologies: Stay updated on emerging technologies and explore opportunities to utilize intelligent automation.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, or equivalent. Information Systems with an Accounting double major is preferred.
GPA: Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
Technical knowledge: General understanding of business systems, technology, and data analysis tools.
ERP system experience: Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday is preferred but not required.
Skills: Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking, quality service mindset, proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Soft skills: Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills. Flexible and adaptable team player with leadership experience. Resourceful in delivering high-quality work and demonstrating project management skills.
Location: Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own transportation.
Work schedule: Technology Assurance professionals are expected to work in-person at a KPMG office or client site on an average of three days per week. Some client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
Visa sponsorship: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
