Precision Ag Summer Internship:

This internship provides real-world experience in the agricultural industry, specifically within the areas of retail sales, agronomy, and operations. It’s an excellent stepping stone for a career in agriculture and offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

What you’ll learn:

Agronomy: Identify weeds, crop diseases, growth stages, plant populations, insect problems, nutrient deficiencies, and soil problems. Collaborate with the Agronomy and Sales team to plan and execute customer events, assisting with setting up demonstration trials. Receive training from an experienced agronomist and engage in weekly discussions with the team to share observations and findings.
Operations/Crop Inputs: Gain insight into the operations of a crop inputs facility, including loading and unloading shipments, blending seed and fertilizer, maintenance, and general daily tasks.
Retail Sales: Participate in retail activities like receiving and shipping merchandise, familiarize yourself with fertilizer and pesticide products, and learn to provide recommendations and solutions to meet customer needs.

Internship Details:

Duration: 16 weeks, May – August 2025
Compensation: Paid hourly
Housing Assistance: Relocation reimbursement available to qualifying candidates
Transportation: Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work
Opportunities: Outstanding performers with a desire to learn may be offered an internship, co-op, or full-time position the following year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing customer events
• Participate in setting up demonstration trials
• Identify and address crop issues under the guidance of an agronomist
• Contribute to the daily operations of a crop inputs facility
• Assist with retail sales activities and provide customer recommendations

Qualifications:

Required:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a related field (graduating between December 2025 and August 2027)
• Valid Canadian driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions (sun, wind, rain, dust, etc.)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred:
• Geographically flexible and willing to relocate for an internship opportunity
• Previous experience in agriculture, sales, or scouting
• Degree in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Plant Science, or Soils Science
