This is a role for an Accountant or Bookkeeper, open to candidates local to Deming, Silver City, Las Cruces, Hatch, or Columbus, New Mexico. What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage monthly bookkeeping, including business activity transaction categorization, using various accounting software.
• Process weekly or bi-weekly payroll for clients.
• Generate ad-hoc reports to address diverse business needs.
• Prepare necessary tax documents.
• Compile and analyze financial statements and reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience: Proven ability to prepare financial reports and statements, conduct bank reconciliations, and perform monthly bookkeeping, including transaction categorization.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong interpersonal skills; strong business acumen; ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals.
• Bonus: Willingness to become certified or learn QuickBooks Online; aspiration to achieve CPA, CFE, EA, or other relevant professional certifications.
