• Team: Credits, Incentives & Methods (CIM) group, specifically Accounting Methods & Periods (AMP)
• Mission: Help identify tax planning ideas related to items that affect the timing of income or deductions.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel
What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Assist with tax planning and research related to various items that affect the timing of income or deductions.
• Client Understanding: Develop an understanding of client’s business and industry to help identify tax planning ideas.
• Project Management: Assist in implementing multiple projects simultaneously, including client interviews, data gathering, analysis, and computations.
• Documentation: Document facts and positions and draft other technical memoranda.
• Communication: Communicate effectively and respond timely to internal and external requests to help drive the success of AMP engagements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional working towards a B.A. / B.S. degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university, with 90 credit hours completed.
• Experience: Requires travel to assigned client locations and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation.
• Skills: Technical and quality expertise, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, effective written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred, ability to work effectively on a team, ability to multitask.
