Corporate Tax Intern (Summer 2027) | Zipline

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Zipline, located in South San Francisco, CA. Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service, operating at a global scale. The company designs, builds, and operates an autonomous logistics system to provide access to food, medicine, and essential goods anytime, anywhere, making millions of deliveries across four continents. This role is crucial for supporting global tax compliance, reporting, provision, planning, and risk management, which protects Zipline’s financial health and enables the company to scale its mission of delivering goods quickly, reliably, and sustainably.

• Team: Corporate Tax team manages global tax compliance, reporting, provision, planning, and risk management responsibilities across jurisdictions.
• Mission: This person supports tax research, compliance, and ad hoc projects to protect the company’s financial health and enable its global mission.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Research tax laws and summarize conclusions for the tax team.
• Compliance: Assist with sales and use tax, property tax, and other non-income tax compliance activities.
• Data Management: Gather and organize financial data required for federal, state, local, and international tax returns.
• Documentation: Prepare tax reconciliations, workpapers, and supporting schedules.
• Audit Support: Help respond to tax audits by locating records and preparing supporting documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Masters in Taxation or an undergraduate degree in Accounting with a strong interest in a tax career. Entry-Level.
• Experience: Completed an introductory tax research course or at least one or two tax courses.
• Skills: Ability to manage details while understanding the big picture, diligent work ethic, and adaptability to changing priorities.
