Accounting Associate | American Healthcare REIT
The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at American Healthcare REIT, located in Irvine, CA, with a requirement of 3 days in-office per week. American Healthcare REIT is one of the larger healthcare-focused real estate investment trusts globally, managing assets totaling approximately $4.2 billion in gross investment value. This role is essential for supporting the accounting and finance functions, ensuring the accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, and facilitating smooth communication between various departments.

• Mission: Assist in accounting and clerical duties to support the preparation of financial statements and respond to inquiries from various departments.
• Tech Stack: Nexus, MS-Excel, MS-Word, Yardi (preferred)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Processing: Upload wires and invoices into Nexus, and prepare wire transfers.
• Financial Record Keeping: Prepare journal entries and perform bank reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting Support: Assist in compiling lender packages, auditor requests, and support documentation for SEC filings, including Forms 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K.
• Asset and Lease Accounting: Prepare fixed asset forms and assist in maintaining ASC Topic 840 (Leases) straight-line schedules.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Interface with various departments to resolve reconciling items and general accounting issues.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of previous accounting experience, with a preference for experience in the real estate industry.
• Skills: Familiarity with PC applications such as MS-Excel and MS-Word, excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, an exceptional work ethic, and a deadline-oriented approach.
• Bonus: Experience with Yardi accounting systems.
