The Tone:
This is an internship at Hillphoenix, a brand of Dover Food Retail (DFR), located in Conyers, GA. Dover Food Retail is a leading manufacturer of Display Cases, Specialty Products, Refrigeration Systems, Power Systems, Comprehensive Services, glass doors, and intelligent merchandising technologies. This role is a structured internship with a variety of project-based deliverables related to operational finance and accounting milestones and continuous improvement. It assists management and serves as a gateway position to joining the finance team in the future, offering opportunities for discussions with finance leadership on personal development.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person Conyers, GA

• Mission: This intern will assist management with skill and experience level appropriate research, modeling, design, and/or process documentation related to existing workflows with increasing complexity.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Tasks: Deliver on assigned daily and monthly tasks and responsibilities.
• Project Delivery: Fulfill the requirements and outcomes of assigned project(s).
• Research: Assist management by conducting research appropriate for skill and experience level.
• Modeling: Support management through the creation of models commensurate with skill and experience level.
• Process Documentation: Aid management in the design and/or documentation of existing workflows at an increasing complexity level.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrollment in a Bachelor of Accounting degree program. Entry-Level.
• Experience: 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale with a 3.5 GPA in core accounting classes. Rising Junior to rising Senior Level progressing towards a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Skills: Analytical and conceptual thinking using logic and reason, basic GAAP knowledge commensurate with education level, effective research and communication skills, proficient at building collaborative relationships, and problem-solving effectively using business acumen and sound judgment.
• Bonus: Enthusiastic about career, teammates, and results; curious about the ‘what’s and ‘why’s of accounting and what it reveals about the business; possesses a strong sense of ownership; and finds accounting enjoyable.
