The Tone:
This is a seasonal part-time role at Baker Tilly US, operating within their centralized BT Prep processing center in the United States. Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm, part of a global network with 43,000 professionals and $5.2 billion in combined worldwide revenue. This role is crucial for enhancing efficiency, standardizing processes, and reducing costs by providing initial data preparation for various assurance engagements, allowing accounting professionals to focus on higher-level tasks.

The TL;DR

• Team: BT Prep (Baker Tilly’s nationally centralized “processing center”)
• Mission: To interpret, manipulate, and input specific data within the Assurance service line to support the initial preparation of client deliverables.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Initially prepare Audit, EBP Audits, and SSARS engagements, and similar.
• Examine: Examine and analyze data records with a high level of skill in standard tasks.
• Interpret: Interpret client-provided information based on similar data from prior years or comparable clients.
• Input: Accurately input information into appropriate software, including clear and concise notes for missing items and questions.
• Develop: Maintain and expand technical knowledge by utilizing supplied training materials and attending relevant courses.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate degree or above in a STEM-related major is highly preferred. This is an early career position focused on data preparation within assurance.
• Experience: The ability to be adaptable to technology and work effectively in a paperless environment.
• Skills: Critical thinking, accuracy and attention to detail, solid communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to work independently.
• Bonus: Experience with and proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
