This is an Audit Staff Accountant role at SEK, CPAs & Advisors, located in York, PA. What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Execution: Perform audit testing on key financial areas and assist in evaluating financial and operational risks.
• Documentation & Compliance: Document and organize workpapers, ensuring they meet regulatory and firm standards.
• Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, resolve questions, and provide exceptional service.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data, assess the accuracy and validity of client transactions, and prepare financial statements.
• Professional Development: Stay informed of new accounting and auditing standards and seek feedback to progress toward an Audit Senior position.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance; Entry-Level career.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience, which can include a tax internship with a CPA firm.
• Skills: Excellent technical accounting skills with proficiency in GAAP and GAAS, strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications, and the ability to manage priorities while handling confidential information professionally.
• Bonus: Desire and determination to obtain a CPA license and a strong community orientation.
