Staff Accountant | JAC Recruitment
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at JAC Recruitment, located in the greater Los Angeles area with a hybrid work model requiring at least three days in the office. In this position, you will be responsible for general daily accounting operations, supporting the accounting department’s functions through invoice processing, transaction management, expense management, and financial data updates. You will contribute to maintaining an accurate and transparent financial management system.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Bookkeeping: Process bank deposits and post entries to the general ledger, managing income and expense accounts.
• Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile cash and bank account balances, including invoice reconciliation and discrepancy analysis.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and tax-related documents.
• Data Management: Enter data and update the accounting database, verifying expense details.
• Compliance & Audit: Manage assets and liabilities, ensure compliance with company rules and regulations, and assist with audit preparations and responses.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Foundational knowledge in accounting, financial reporting, and basic bookkeeping principles.
• Experience: Practical experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Knowledge and experience using QuickBooks.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of financial regulations (US GAAP, IFRS). High accuracy and attention to detail, with strong numerical processing and error detection abilities. Proven ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-2 years of practical experience in accounting or a related field. Experience in the entertainment industry. Experience using SAP. Bilingual skills in English and Japanese.
