The Global Transaction Tax practice provides a unique opportunity to work without audit conflicts, enabling consultants to act as trusted business advisors across service lines at all stages of a client’s development. This role is crucial for strategically strengthening the practice at a senior level and leading complex cross-border transactions.

• Team: Global Transaction Tax practice across Germany, reporting to Managing Directors.
• Mission: Lead teams and manage multiple global transaction engagements, serving as a trusted business advisor to clients without audit conflict.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Engagements: Manage and lead teams on multiple transaction engagements across Germany, Europe, and globally, working closely with Managing Directors.
• Advise on Transactions: Lead cross-border transactions, collaborating with clients and tax authorities to advise on buy-side and sell-side projects, including tax due diligence reports and transaction structuring.
• Develop Team: Utilize extensive tax knowledge to provide high-level service while overseeing the professional development of team members.
• Build Relationships: Network internally with other service lines and participate in external marketing events to foster cross-service line relationships.
• Drive Growth: Gain exposure to senior leadership and proactively engage in commercial, business development, and marketing activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior Director level with proven experience leading Transaction Tax projects, ideally gained at a top-tier advisory firm, supported by a strong academic record and a degree from a leading university or equivalent.
• Experience: Proven experience leading Transaction Tax projects across various sectors.
• Skills: Well-developed stakeholder management skills, including managing key client relationships and driving business development; excellent oral and written communication skills; native or fluent German and English proficiency.
• Bonus: Additional language skills are highly advantageous, alongside a highly ambitious and motivated entrepreneurial mindset with deep functional knowledge and a blend of operational and commercial capabilities.
