What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist in providing quality tax services to the Firm’s clients by working as a team member on diverse client engagements.
• Scan and prepare various types of tax returns efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct a comprehensive research project and prepare a presentation of findings for Firm leadership.
• Become familiar with and adhere to the Firm’s policies and procedures while developing knowledge of basic technical tax requirements.
• Develop and apply a working knowledge of all routinely used microcomputer applications to support tax services.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level candidate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with at least 75% of the degree completed from an accredited university. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, as the firm will not sponsor work visas for this position.
• Experience: Ability to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week for the 8-week program, with necessary availability for weekend work, and a willingness for frequent local travel to clients and other PKF O’Connor Davies locations.
• Skills: Good communication and computer skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to multitask effectively.
