What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Prepare and process payroll accurately for all employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
• Maintain: Verify time records, post and reconcile journal entries, and update the general ledger for financial integrity.
• Report: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support routine reporting and audits.
• Manage: Utilize accounting software to record transactions, track payroll expenses, and generate necessary reports.
• Communicate: Collaborate with management and departments to resolve payroll issues and respond to employee inquiries efficiently.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Foundational knowledge in bookkeeping, finance, financial statements, and general accounting principles. Relevant education in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Some experience in payroll, bookkeeping, or accounting functions.
• Skills: Proficiency in accounting software; strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy; ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with labor and tax regulations; effective communication and organizational skills.
• Bonus: Previous experience in a similar industry is beneficial.
