Junior Cost Specialist | Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time, entry-level role at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG), located in Houston, TX, with in-office hours Monday through Friday. QISG leverages Quanta’s comprehensive resources to deliver collaborative solutions for energy infrastructure needs, encompassing planning, design, engineering, management, maintenance, and construction projects. This role is crucial for assisting with project financials across multiple EPC projects, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and safe execution by providing accurate cost tracking and reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process material receipts: Enter and reconcile material receipts in JDE, uploading all associated Bills of Lading and supporting documents.
• Coordinate documentation: Work closely with the Expediting and Project Teams to ensure all receiving documentation is accurate and complete.
• Manage invoices: File receipts in Procore and accurately match purchase orders or budget codes to corresponding Accounts Payable invoices.
• Ensure AP accuracy: Verify billings, retention, taxes, and lien waivers to maintain accuracy and compliance for Accounts Payable.
• Update cost systems: Post costs, quantities, and forecasts in EcoSys, and update Estimated Time to Complete (ETC) and Estimated At Completion (EAC) as necessary.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Eagerness to build a career in project controls within an infrastructure solutions environment.
• Experience: 0-1+ years of experience in cost control, project accounting, or financial analysis is beneficial.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, effective collaboration across all organizational levels, excellent attention to detail, strong time management, and consistent ability to meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience with specific platforms such as JDE, EcoSys, or Procore is highly desirable.
