The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Bertelsmann (Arvato), located in Lelystad, Flevoland. Arvato is establishing its newest Tech location where advanced logistics meets cutting-edge technology, focused on highly automated operations. As a Business Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing these operations. You will serve as the indispensable key user for the Warehouse Management System, acting as the vital link between operations, IT, and the broader business. Your expertise will be crucial in translating operational needs into practical system solutions, driving continuous process improvements, and ensuring the sophisticated logistics environment functions at its peak efficiency.

• Mission: Help Operations maximize the Warehouse Management System, support colleagues, and drive process improvements within an automated logistics environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Key User Engagement: Act as the primary key user and first point of contact for all Warehouse Management System-related questions and support needs.
• Operational Support & Improvement: Provide dedicated support to Operations teams for system-related issues, concurrently identifying and proposing opportunities for process and system improvements.
• System Change Management: Coordinate and meticulously test all system changes and updates before their official implementation into the operational environment.
• Needs Translation: Translate complex operational requirements and user needs into clear, actionable functional change requests for the IT department and other relevant stakeholders.
• User Enablement & Training: Develop and deliver training programs, alongside continuous support, for end users on new system functionalities and evolving processes.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance and operational data to identify specific opportunities for enhancing overall operational efficiency.
• Project Participation: Actively participate in various projects focused on process optimization, system enhancements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (HBO) or equivalent working and thinking level. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and analytical individual, combining operational understanding with a strong inclination towards system optimization and continuous improvement within a logistics setting.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Key User, Business Support Specialist, Process Specialist, Super User, Logistics Engineer, or in a comparable role within the logistics sector. This includes practical experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or other essential operational systems.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Candidates must possess a good command of the English language, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively support and train end users, thriving as a team player in an international, Tech environment.
• Bonus: Experience with Power BI is considered a distinct advantage for this role.
