General & Operational Accounting Advisor | NTT Data Global

The Tone:

The General & Operational Accounting Advisor handles diverse financial issues, leads accounting projects, and maintains the integrity of financial records. This position is crucial for upholding financial standards and supporting sound business operations.

The TL;DR
• Mission: Ensures accurate financial reporting and adherence to company policies through expert review, project leadership, and coordination.
• Tech Stack: SAP, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Reviews high-risk journal entries, supporting documentation, and key account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Policy Management: Coordinates, develops, issues, reviews, and updates business unit accounting and operating policies.
• Financial Statements: Balances books and prepares P&L, income, and/or balance sheet statements as necessary.
• Operational Oversight: Prioritizes activities to meet critical close deadlines and maintains receipts and disbursement reports.
• Project Leadership: Leads diverse accounting projects that contribute to the company’s overall financial success.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification, indicating a deep understanding of accounting and related subject areas.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years of working experience, with prior involvement in all facets of monthly accounting cycles and financial reporting; experience in an accounting firm and/or MNC is preferred.
• Skills: Expert knowledge of relevant accounting practices and principles, excellent communication skills proficient in English, skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint), strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, and advanced client service skills.
• Bonus: SAP user knowledge, SOX experience, and the ability to train and mentor others.
