The Tone:
This is a Full Time role at Eaton, located in Asheville, NC, working onsite M-F during daylight hours. This position supports the ES AMER ARS PDCAD division at a manufacturing site, addressing the rapidly growing demand for four product lines. The Operations Financial Analyst is a financial professional crucial for analyzing financial data, providing insights related to site operations, and optimizing financial performance through close collaboration with finance and operations teams.

• Mission: Analyze financial data and performance metrics to optimize operational financial performance and support key decision-making.
• Tech Stack: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI, ERP Systems (Oracle/SAP/Encore/MAPICs)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Participate in month-end closing processes and financial forecasting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards and supporting audits.
• Data Analysis: Analyze operational and financial data, investigate variances, identify business drivers, and evaluate their impact on planned objectives while preparing commentary for management.
• Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, support Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs), and track open capital projects for timely execution.
• Planning & Budgeting: Support data gathering, analysis, and consolidation of the annual profit plan, serving as a liaison between budget owners and finance.
• Cost & Inventory Optimization: Analyze financial data related to operational costs to provide insights for cost efficiency and pricing, and support inventory control actions including annual physical inventory.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship and reside within a 70-mile radius of the facility.
• Skills: Computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Power BI; detail-oriented with effective organization and time management skills; highly analytical and self-starter.
• Bonus: Experience with ERP Systems (Oracle/SAP/Encore/MAPICs); ability to understand and communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders; ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally.
