The Tone:
This is an internship at Ember Shore Solutions, taking place in Summer 2027. Ember Shore Solutions is an HR consultancy firm that leverages an Artificial Intelligence system to facilitate candidate-to-role matchmaking. This internship is designed to offer students with strong academic performance and leadership potential a hands-on opportunity to apply finance and accounting principles. The role is crucial for developing practical technical and essential soft skills, such as communication, alongside refining business knowledge and analytical problem-solving capabilities within a real-world professional setting.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $16.85–$33.75 hourly

What You’ll Actually Do
• Utilize: Apply existing finance and accounting technical skills as well as comprehensive business knowledge to practical assignments and real-world scenarios.
• Develop: Actively enhance and refine essential soft skills, particularly communication, through daily professional interactions and collaborative efforts.
• Employ: Systematically use various analytical techniques to review financial data, interpret trends, and contribute to informed decision-making processes.
• Exercise: Engage creative problem-solving abilities to navigate and resolve business challenges and opportunities throughout the internship period.
• Gain: Acquire meaningful professional experience in a structured environment, bridging academic learning with industry practice.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be currently enrolled in school and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a Finance or Accounting related discipline, with continued enrollment planned for the semester following the internship. An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher is required, along with unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
• Experience: Prior to graduation, candidates must plan to complete a minimum of 3 Accounting classes, which must include one 3-4 credit hour cost accounting course.
• Skills: The ability to apply analytical techniques, creative problem-solving skills, and effective communication are key for this role.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include previous work experience in finance or accounting related positions, school or work experience using Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI), holding on-campus leadership positions, and active membership in school or national Finance or Accounting organizations.
