Audit Internship – Spring 2028 | Wipfli

• Team: Works side-by-side with professionals from all levels of the firm and as part of client engagement teams.
• Mission: To support audit engagements by performing testing procedures, preparing financial reports, and assisting clients with information gathering and process improvements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Support: Respond to requests from clients and firm associates in a timely, accurate, positive, and professional manner.
• Information Gathering: Work with clients to gather necessary information for the completion of required documents and inquiries.
• Data Analysis: Use data analysis skills to discover useful information and patterns that provide support for recommendations.
• Process Improvement: Proactively identify improvement opportunities in processes to enhance efficiency within the firm and for clients.
• Audit Procedures: Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures in accordance with firm and professional standards.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare or review client-prepared financial statements, footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, with completion of a corporate or individual taxation class, and working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation. This is an Entry-Level role.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required, but candidates should be prepared to utilize their educational knowledge and experience. Preferred coursework includes Data Analytics or Big Data.
• Skills: Ability to think independently and make good decisions, strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and staff, and the ability to prioritize work, follow through on requests, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: A preferred college GPA of 3.0 or higher.
