Corporate Accounting Intern – Summer 2027 | Lennox
The Tone:
This is a temporary internship at Lennox, an industry leader with a 130-year legacy in HVAC and refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions to residential and commercial customers. This role is crucial for supporting the Corporate Accounting team’s financial processes, offering real-world experience and contributing to accurate financial reporting and process improvements. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience and exposure to business leaders, with the potential for a full-time offer upon graduation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Assist in the preparation and completion of balance sheet reconciliations, including supporting schedules and documentation.
• Support: Contribute to month-end close activities through journal entry analysis, preparation, and validation.
• Enhance: Support the documentation, evaluation, and enhancement of accounting processes and internal control procedures.
• Automate: Perform data validation, reporting, and process automation support utilizing Excel and other financial tools and systems.
• Present: Lead a designated summer project, culminating in a presentation of findings, insights, and recommendations to the Corporate Accounting team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with developing professional knowledge in accounting, finance, or a related area of expertise.
• Experience: No specific years required. Previous internship, office, finance, or accounting-related experience is a preferred qualification.
• Skills: Solid written and verbal communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile financial data, strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Exposure to SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, experience with data analysis, reporting, or process automation, and an understanding of fundamental accounting principles and internal controls.
