AI Incubations Project Manager | PEAK6

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at PEAK6, located on-site in Austin, TX. PEAK6 is a leading investment firm that leverages technology to innovate across various industries, asset classes, and business stages, delivering superior results through a range of core brands. The AI Strategies group functions as an incubator within PEAK6, focusing on significant new opportunities such as building zero-to-one businesses, executing software transformations, and creating AI services roll-ups by acquiring and reimagining operations with AI. This role is an apprenticeship in company building, working directly with the head of AI Strategies to drive these initiatives, and is designed for recent graduates with exceptional drive to lead future ventures.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Run the operating cadence of the group, managing priorities, follow-through, and multiple weekly workstreams.
• Project Ownership: Own projects outright, including acquisition diligence, initial plans for new businesses, or establishing processes at newly acquired companies.
• Strategic Support: Build the models, memos, and decks that leaders use for decision-making, and be present during their discussions.
• AI Utilization: Use AI tools daily to accomplish the work typically done by a team of three, and train others in their use.
• Leadership Growth: Grow into a leadership position, potentially leading a transformation, a function at an acquired company, or a business of your own.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent graduate, zero to five years out, with an entrepreneurial instinct for building companies.
• Experience: Demonstrated record of an insane work ethic or entrepreneurial pursuits, such as a startup, a side business, or something built without being asked.
• Skills: Detail-oriented to a fault, a strong writer, clear thinker, comfortable with numbers, and a fast learner who figures things out independently.
• Bonus: Experienced individuals who seek a defining challenge, are willing to fundamentally rebuild their work with AI, and have something to prove.
