The Tone:
This is a 6-month internship at RÖDL USA, with opportunities across various US offices including Atlanta GA (headquarters), Chicago IL, Denver CO, and Manhattan NY. RÖDL USA is the American arm of RÖDL & Partner, a global professional services firm with roots tracing back to its founding in 1977 in Nuremberg, Germany, and the merger with Langford de Kock & Co. in 2001. The firm specializes in providing accounting, auditing, tax, and business consulting services for foreign, family-owned midsized businesses, predominantly German-speaking and European entities operating in the U.S. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and deep insights into international auditing, accounting, and tax consulting within a truly global and intercultural workplace across various US offices, supporting the firm’s critical mission for its international client base.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Experience International Consulting: Gain practical, hands-on experience in all areas of both US-American and German auditing and tax consulting, working directly with the specific needs of international clients.
• Learn Core Processes: Acquire deep insights and valuable experiences in international auditing, accounting, and tax consulting practices relevant to foreign-owned businesses operating in the US.
• Receive Specialized Training: Benefit from structured training sessions in various essential areas, including professional software like ProSystems Engagement, advanced Microsoft Excel techniques, preparing bank reconciliations, conducting cash audits, and calculating tax estimations.
• Collaborate with Clients: Actively support US subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies, which are primarily German-speaking and European family businesses, operating across diverse sectors such as manufacturing, distribution, technology, and services.
• Contribute to Team Projects: Work collaboratively as an integral part of a high-performing and interdisciplinary team, tackling challenging tasks within a truly international professional environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level position specifically designed for students who have completed at least three semesters of economic studies, with a strong academic focus on (international) accounting, auditing, and/or taxes.
• Experience: Possess initial theoretical knowledge and/or practical work experience in the fields of accounting and/or taxes, demonstrating a foundational understanding of these areas.
• Skills: Fluent command of both German and English, in spoken and written communication; exhibit strong capabilities in teamwork, a high degree of commitment, proactive self-initiative, keen quality awareness, and robust analytical abilities.
• Bonus: Previous international internships (Auslandspraktika) and any further additional qualifications are considered advantageous for this role.
