2027 Summer Business Accounting & Advisory Internship | Cerity Partners

The Tone:
This is a summer internship at Cerity Partners, located in Louisville, KY. Cerity Partners is a nationally recognized registered investment advisory firm that works to empower, assist, guide, motivate, and support others. This role offers college students the opportunity to gain authentic, real-world experience in the financial industry, working with a collaborative team that prioritizes people and accountability. Participants will contribute to a firm dedicated to delivering exceptional service to clients through teamwork.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Support: Assist account leads with various aspects of the accounting process, including batch accounting in AR and AP, processing/posting transactions, journal entries, and financial statement preparation/analysis.
• Industry Exposure: Gain first-hand experience with the accounting process across multiple industries.
• Client Engagement: Shadow and participate in various types of client presentations.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in employee social and volunteer events.
• Project Work: Work with a team virtually to create a financial planning project or other assigned projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level college student enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university, majoring in Finance, Accounting, or a related business degree.
• Experience: Minimum 3.2 GPA, with active participation in campus organizations (preferably in a leadership role) and/or professional work experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; ability to identify with Cerity Partner’s mission and demonstrate core values.
